You are a Star. A Bright & Shining Star! Know that and repeat this to yourself as much as you need to. It breaks my heart when I see relationships in which one is always reminded how unworthy they are. They are constantly mocked about their abilities & behavior.
I have seen very Bright & Beautiful people succumb to this and believe how unworthy they are. How sad 😞
Don’t Let ANYONE (neither your family nor friend) make you think that you are unworthy just because of how close you are to them.
Believe in Yourself. Work on Yourself. Get Help if Needed to Feel Worthy Again.

Tending the garden of our mind

Our mind can take us places, if we let it!

Last week I was preparing to teach my Sunday School class for 8th graders and the Value I was teaching was Self Control or Atma Vinigrahah.
Our scriptures teach us to find a balance between physical indulgence and abstinence but not to deny ourselves to the extent of causing suppression and/or frustration.
We must take the the pleasures the World has to offer but not get carried away by them.
There is a beautiful example that I will like to share.
Think about a chariot with 5 horses. Horses depicting the 5 senses- taste, smell, touch, sight & sound. The mind is the charioteer controlling the 5 senses (horses) with a rein. If the charioteer loses control of even one horse, the chariot will become unstable and not move in the proper direction. Thus, in unrestrained enjoyment the senses will overpower us and we may land up doing something in an impulse rather than thinking with our mind and then acting.
Thus, let us learn to tend our minds so we can use it to control our senses, which in turn will help us make sensible decisions

Let’s normalize!

Yes, unfortunately it is the sad truth. But it is okay and most importantly, you want to learn to be okay with it. Because if you sit & wait for validation from others, you will only be disappointed.

There are some who will pretend to be great friends to you but when you achieve something significant, they will refuse to even acknowledge that fact.

There are some that follow you only to spy on you and watch your “next” move since they have too much time on hand. Rather than improving their own lives, they will waste time judging others.

There are some who will be very nice to you when they need something from you. Once their mission is accomplished, they will not remember you but come back to you again when they need something else.

There are some that have all smiles when they talk with you but secretly can’t stand you and complain about you to other “common friends”. These are scary to be around. Always watch your words and keep boundaries when you associate with them.

And then there are those that no matter what, will always love you & support you, from distance near or far. Those are the special treasures in your life. Deep in your heart you will always know the ones who truly & genuinely love you for who you are. Without conditions. Keep them close to your heart.

At the end of the day, we are all People. The Same. Each one of us has a Soul. We manifest differently because our behaviors and actions are influenced by our inheritance & environments.

To prevent being hurt over & over again, it is best to in the company of those where consciousness matches. If it does not, move on. It is okay to Let go rather than hurting your Soul.

Even after years of emotional healing work, we all sometimes make the mistake of believing that something out there makes us angry, depressed, anxious or afraid. In reality outside events are only triggers. The cause of every emotion is within ourselves. We cause our own stress or we can choose to heal emotionally.
